How to Compare Sauna Supplier Quotes Beyond Unit Price

Two sauna quotations can show the same headline product and still describe different orders. One may include a steamer, remote and chair; another may price the shell only. One may include a private-label carton; another may use a plain export carton. A buyer needs a comparison sheet that makes those differences visible.

1. Lock the model and scope

Use the exact product type, capacity and dimensions. A 1-person folding steam room, a 3–4 person sauna tent and an infrared blanket are not interchangeable lines. If a supplier proposes an alternative, keep the original request and the alternative as separate rows so the price difference has a reason.

2. Compare the accessory list

Ask what the buyer receives in the carton. Steam rooms can include hoses, steamer, chair and remote. Tents can include a storage sack, stakes, guy lines, jack cover and panels. Blankets can include a carry bag, controller, cables and wraps. A quote without the list is an incomplete quote.

3. Put the commercial terms on one sheet

Quote itemWhat to confirm
Model and specificationExact model, dimensions and heating system
MOQPer model, colour and customisation
SampleCost, timing and whether it is credited
Mass productionConfirmed plan after sample approval
PackagingStandard or private label, carton and accessories
FreightDestination, Incoterm and packed volume
ComplianceDocuments for the exact model and market

4. Separate specification from assumptions

A quotation may assume standard voltage, standard packaging or a quantity that the buyer has not yet approved. Highlight assumptions instead of letting them sit inside a footnote. For a new product, confirm whether the sample is the first build and whether engineering changes are included.

5. Check timing at each stage

This factory confirms sampling at 7–15 days from the final specification and mass production at 25–45 days depending on model mix and order plan. Ask where the sample approval, artwork approval and Chinese New Year or peak-season calendar sit in the supplier's schedule. A production time that starts before sample approval is not a usable delivery plan.

6. Compare the quality and inspection scope

Ask who inspects the electrical function, seams, zips, frame, fittings and accessory count. This factory states 100% inspection before packing rather than sampling only. If another supplier quotes a lower price, check whether the inspection scope and packing standard are the same.

A good comparison sheet has one final line: total landed cost for the same approved scope. Until both suppliers can fill every row, the cheapest unit price is only a starting number.
