Sauna Tent vs Steam Room vs Infrared Blanket: Which Line to Stock

The sauna category is not one product. A sauna tent, a portable steam room and an infrared sauna blanket are bought by different customers, stored differently and shipped at very different cost per unit. Before choosing a model, choose the format.

Portable steam sauna room

A fabric shell on a stainless steel frame, heated by a 3.0 L steam generator, in square, pentagon and red light versions for one or two people. It folds down for storage and shipping, and the buyer is usually a wellness retailer, a spa supplier or a distributor assembling a home-sauna range.

Outdoor sauna tent

A padded 210D Oxford shell with a stove pipe port and a solid fibreglass frame, seating 1–2, 3–4 or 4–5 people, packed at 10–17.5 kg with a storage sack and snow stakes. It needs a wood burning stove to work, which is why the stove and the chimney set belong in the same conversation as the tent.

Infrared sauna blanket

The lightest and least expensive format to ship: 4–6 kg, 180 × 80 cm packed into a carton under 25 cm deep, in waterproof Oxford or PU leather, with one to four heating zones and a hand controller. Temperature range and session length differ between the Oxford and the upgraded PU models, so compare those two figures rather than the headline zone count.

If you are stocking two of the three formats, ask for a combined quotation. The stove, the chimney set and the carry bags are accessories to the tent, and the blankets share a carton profile with nothing else in the range — mixing them in one shipment is what changes the freight.
